Bradley to be named ‘national captain’ for the first time

Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley has been handed the captaincy for the first time as he takes on Belarus in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 21-year-old said it was a proud moment for him. and his family after being told by international manager Michael O’Neill he would be captaining the side tomorrow.

“It’s going to be a great night and hopefully. We can get the result off to a good start to make it a really special night,” said Bradley.

“I’ve just spoken to my mum and my girlfriend and they’ve been so proud of me. I’m so happy and I can’t wait for tomorrow.”
